| Scope of Testing
Scope of Testing
- Cartridges are validated against the CC specification, as defined using the IMS SchemaProf tool.
- Validates the cartridge against the CC profile of the Content Packaging schema.
- Validates Cartridge metadata, Resource Metadata, QTI Assessments/Question Banks, Authorization and Discussion Forum against their respective profile schemas.
- Checks that all CC constraints and assertions are upheld.
- Checks the syntax of the cartridge against the SchemaTron rules defining those constraints which cannot be expressed directly in XML schema.
Limitations of Scope
- Testing ensures the presence of appropriate media files for a learning application resource (e.g. mpg, jpg), but does not verify their internal structure.
- The test system does not apply run-time tests to the cartridge content.
CC requires that the cartridge meta-data identifies any client-side players or web-browser plug-ins required to run the content. This is expressed as free-text and so is not tested. | |
