Just noticed that the launch_presentation_locale parameter isn't a BCP 47 language tag but instead defines a sort of custom format based on ISO-639.

Instead I suggest this should be a BCP47 Language Tag and leave the definition at that; there are libraries (e.g. ICU4J) that handle this directly and can even dynamically check language tag validity using the IANA registry.

Likewise the statement "country and variant codes are optional" would not be necessary; BCP-47 implementation libraries can handle the "handshake" on appropriate locales based on any well-formed language tag.
