Like the learning Impact blog and have bookmarked it.
It is heartening that the industry is starting to "grow up " the sheer amount of possibilities in using technology to enhance learning is mind blowing
I don't see how adopting some industry standards is stifling to innovation at all it is merely managing and sharing learning industry wide.
I applaud such a gutsy vision for the IMS Global Learning Consortium
It is an interesting comparison to the current field of learning where educators, academics, social scientists and business practitioners all use their own jargon to describe the same things.
The result is a fragmented and non-integrated approach to human learning which has in my view stifled progress and learning impact.
Lets hope the new technological learning modalities together with the exciting insights from neuroscience will allow us to help people learn much more effectively

I too like the blog and think that... "We wanted some pages about LTI that were less "IMS speak" and more down to normal human propeller head level" is the way to go. keep up the good work and posts!
