ATutor 2.0 Released - Supports Common Cartridge and other...

Hi Everyone-

I just learned from Greg Gay from the Adaptive Technology Resource Centre (ATRC) at the University of Toronto that ATutor 2.0 has been released. ATutor is an open source Learning Management System.

Details of the release are posted on Sourceforge.

ATutor 2.0 supports IMS Common Cartridge, Content Packaging, Question and Test Interoperability, and Access for All (ATRC has been a major leader of the AfA work over the years).

What is really neat is that this includes the beta release of "AContent" - a standalone version of the ATutor content editor.

The normal caveats here on the need for these products to complete the conformance testing process and get the conformance marks, but, congratulations and thanks to Greg and the ATRC team for making Common Cartridge authoring available! This is very exciting!

I might add to Rob's announcement that with the beta release of AContent 1.0, we are seeking feedback from the ATutor and IMS communities on improvements, adjustments, or bug fixes that might be made before the final release, planned for late July or early August. We'll be continuing to refine the system over the coming weeks, during which time we're taking suggestions.
