Classes without owners

Classes without owners

I was just wondering if someone could provide scenarios where a class would not have an owner or primary teacher. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Scenario for ownerless class

School District has hired temporary subsitute teachers and these substitutes are not part of their system of record. The class would have students but no owner as the permanent teacher is not yet hired.

That makes sense in an SIS as a place holder. Does it make sense to also import this class into an LMS as well? Would content be created by the sub? Thanks again.
