Invalid JWT sent by reference implementation

I've just tried sending messages from the 1EdTech reference implementation at https://lti-ri.imsglobal.org/ and found that its JWT does not comply with my reading of the LTI 1.3 specification in that the guid property of the https://purl.imsglobal.org/spec/lti/claim/tool_platform claim is being passed as a numeric value and not as a string (as per section 5.4.2 of the spec). Please could someone rectify this. Thanks.
