IMS is defining global specifications for distributed learning. Contributing Members of IMS recognize their leadership role in shaping the future of distributed learning around the world with broad access to IMS activities.
Contributing Membership includes membership in all Affiliate activities.
Contributing members support IMS with annual membership dues according to the following guidelines:

$10-$50M US Revenue
|Government Agency:||$55,000 US|
In-kind contributions are not accepted in lieu of membership fees.

A member may resign from membership in IMS GLC at any time. No refunds of prior investments will be made in such cases. Only members in good standing are able to use the restricted access forums, draft documents and information developed during the development of specifications.
All personnel and other resource commitments are at the discretion of the member, subject to approval by the IMS Chief Executive Officer. The intent of this condition is to ensure that member activities are coordinated to benefit IMS GLC and the member. Benefits realized by any member are likely to be directly related to the quality and amount of personnel, intellectual property, and related resources committed by the member to the project. By committing these resources, a member will have the opportunity to contribute its ideas and expertise to the development process, and thus influence the outcomes of IMS GLC activities.
