Learning Industry Leaders Forum Benefits
Purpose
The IMS/GLC has formed the Learning Industry Leaders Forum (LILF) for the purpose of enabling broad participation in the activities of IMS/GLC by end-user organizations and for the sharing of best practices in learning technology innovation.
Benefits
- Access to all IMS/GLC surveys and research reports including the Learning Technology Satisfaction and Trends, Best Practices in Open Source in Higher Education and Best Practices in Internet-Supported Learning.
- Participation in exclusive IMS/GLC research programs such as the Internet-Supported Learning Self-Audit.
- Participation at the IMS/GLC quarterly meetings at reduced meeting fees.
- Participation at IMS/GLC’s annual conference Learning Impact and the Summit on Global Learning Industry Challenges at reduced attendance fees.
- Participation in exclusive leadership webinars on new innovations in the learning industry and the state of open specifications and standards for learning.
- Participation in community information forums on the use of learning technologies and conformance of products to specifications and standards.
- Participation in IMS/GLC on advisory boards on selected topics.
- Ability to participate in IMS Learning Technology Advisory Council

Differences With Other Forms of IMS/GLC Participation
LILF subscription is for organizations that are end-users of learning technology such as educational
institutions, school districts, and the training or human resources units of corporations. Companies providing
learning products or services and governmental bodies can join IMS/GLC as Contributing Members. LILF
subscribers do not vote on or receive developers tools for the IMS/GLC specifications.
