Cary (officially Carroll, but please call him Cary) Brown has spent more than 20 years in the EdTech industry, most recently as Senior Director of Campus Solutions Product Development at Oracle, where he was responsible for the Peoplesoft Campus Solutions student information suite. He began his tech career designing applications on top of off the shelf relational databases for small associations before transitioning to edtech as a functional analyst with Peoplesoft Campus Solution in 1999. Since then he has worked as a development manager and strategist for Oracle’s Higher Education solutions, including Campus Solutions Academic Enterprise Solutions and Oracle Student Cloud, often with a focus on integration and extending the availability and usability of administrative academic data and enabling the entire academic ecosystem in a sustainable, standards-based way. When he’s not focused on Higher Education, Cary is a working writer and filmmaker.
