Dr. Rich Contartesi is the Assistant Superintendent of Technology Services for the Loudoun County Public School System located in Ashburn, Virginia. He has over 30 years of K-12 experience previously serving as Chief Information and Accountability Officer for the School District of the City of Erie, Pennsylvania; Associate Superintendent of Technology and Chief Technology Officer for the Kansas City Missouri Schools; and as Director of Instructional Technology, Director of Information Technology and Business Systems Analyst for the Palm Beach County Florida Schools. His experience provides a unique strategic and operational perspective to lead and integrate business operations, technology and instruction. He has developed and implemented enterprise financial systems, student information systems, data warehouse systems, security, and instructional learning systems. Dr. Contartesi holds Bachelor’s degree in Education, a Master of Business Administration and a Doctorate in Management and Organizational Leadership. Dr. Contartesi is an active participant in numerous technology and educational organizations.
