Testing
IMS offers a Compliance Program. The IMS Compliance Program improves interoperability in the worldwide implementation of IMS Specifications by establishing realistic measures of interoperability and increasing those measures over time as best practice and more rigorous testing capabilities become available.
There are several options currently available for testing.
TELCERT is a European 6th Framework project which draws together the IMS specifications, the IMS Appliation Profile Guidelines and the state-of-the-art in UML systems specification and testing. The project is implementing a range of tools that will support users in profiling the specifications to meet their needs. These tools, the associated design documentation and open source code are destined to be made available via the IMS web site so that they can be accessed by as broad a community as possible.
Profiles are collections of one or more specifications/standards and extensions that an adopter community, such as a Governmental Department, or region has selected as a requirement for procurement. IMS collaborates with the organizations that develop and maintain profiles. The following organizations have developed profiles based on one or more IMS Specifications.
