Organizations and Institutions from Around the World Honored for their Innovative Application of Education Technology to Achieve Learning Impact

Lake Mary, Florida – 1 June 2016 – IMS Global Learning Consortium (IMS Global/IMS), the world leader in EdTech interoperability and innovation is pleased to announce the winners of the 10th annual Learning Impact Awards competition. Eight winners were selected out of 25 innovative projects from around the globe that competed as finalists in this year’s competition.

Created in 2007, the Learning Impact Awards program recognizes outstanding, innovative applications of educational technology and results achieved to address the most significant challenges facing education. Winners are selected by a panel of expert evaluators using a series of rubrics to evaluate eight dimensions for improving learning impact, including improving access, affordability, and quality of learning. Entries are categorized by level: New/Research – projects implemented within the last 12 months; Established – projects deployed for at least 24 months. The winners were announced during the Learning Impact Leadership Institute, which took place May 23-26, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. An analysis of the winners will be provided in the 2016 Learning Impact Report. Winners recognized for their outstanding achievement were:
