LAKE MARY, Florida, 15 December 2021 — IMS Global Consortium (IMS Global/IMS), the world-leading non-profit collaborative committed to achieving a Standards First and inclusive edtech ecosystem, announced today the availability of the 2021 Learning Impact Report. The report summarizes the 28 evidence-based technology projects that advanced to the final round of competition for the 2021 Learning Impact Awards.

IMS Global's annual awards competition recognizes innovative digital learning technology and strategies implemented for education or workforce training to transform educational experiences and elevate learning impact. Each project summarized in the Learning Impact Report aligns with a pragmatic trend defined by the IMS Learning Impact Framework, which identifies and tracks forward-moving solutions and collaborations for digital teaching and learning.

"Our goal for the Learning Impact Awards and subsequent report is to recognize the innovations making an impact on educational experiences and outcomes, then create open standards to advance the solutions across the ecosystem, said Dr. Rob Abel, chief executive officer at IMS Global Consortium. "In the early years of the program, which began in 2007, it was rare to find a project that fully endorsed standards. Now, most of the finalists are using at least one IMS standard. This is exactly the virtuous cycle of innovation and large-scale adoption that we hoped to establish."

The annual Learning Impact Awards competition is open to all educational institutions, states, edtech suppliers, and workplace training organizations worldwide. The nomination period for the 2022 Learning Impact Awards opens on 24 January 2022 and closes on 28 February. At the annual Learning Impact Conference (Nashville, Tennessee, 13-16 June 2022), 1EdTech announces the winners.
