In 2019, the profile for OneRoster Europe was defined. In winter 2020, an implementation guide for LTI Advantage in Europe was created (with many GDPR) references. In spring 2020, the task force will identify future tasks for making IMS standards suitable for use in the European context.

This session will consist of an introduction to LTI Advantage and its services, with demonstrations of the usages and benefits that come with it.

The first session will include an overview of the new IMS security model and how it builds on open standards such as OAuth 2.0 to make LTI Advantage secure and reliable.

Edu-API European Task Force

(IMS Contributing Members only)

Colin Smythe, Chief Architect, IMS Global Learning Consortium

Edu-API is a standard model for the integration of core education enterprise data within higher education. This new standard is being developed in the international Edu-API Task Force. Visit the Edu-API Forum for task force notes.

There is a significant opportunity for IMS Europe and other members that have indicated they would like to participate in this task force to help shape this important specification. To accommodate this, we will start a European Task Force on Edu-API, that will work in parallel to the existing task force.

Colin Smythe will be the link between the two teams. This is the first meeting of the Edu-API Task Force.

LTI Advantage In-Depth (continued)

(IMS Contributing Members only)

The second session will take a deeper dive into implementing LTI Advantage, including best practices and look at both the core and extension specifications form a technical standpoint.
This session will also be a great opportunity to get any technical questions you have answered, to help accelerate your Advantage implementations.
