Actionable e-Assessments: Strategies for Open, Interoperable Online Assessments
State and institutional leaders recognize the power of interoperable digital assessment as more effective and efficient when compared to paper-based assessment. Leading states, state consortia, and suppliers around the world are using IMS Global standards on a massive scale to enable high quality interoperable digital assessment, both summative and formative. These specifications, Question and Test Interoperability® (QTI®) and Accessible Portable Item Protocol® (APIP®) have been moving the assessment industry forward for many years. Hear from states and state consortia that have adopted strategies to take advantage of these open standards and community-specific profiles that result in improved access for all students, innovative content and systems that avoid vendor lock-in, and a focus on better teaching and learning outcomes.
