For the past 10 years, Nick Thompson has held various leadership roles at UCLA enhancing the educational technologies for its students and faculty. He is currently responsible for managing the Common Collaborative Learning Environment which consists of an open source Learning Management System at its core and a suite of related educational technologies. Nick played an instrumental role at UCLA unifying the various tools and systems into a single platform used throughout the campus. A California native, Nick graduated from California State University, Fresno. With a background in software engineering, prior to joining UCLA, he worked in the computer game industry for before turning to the educational space.
