LTI v1.1.2 (released 22 July 2019) is the latest version of the LTI v1.1 spec with the security updated published here: https://www.imsglobal.org/spec/lti/v1p1p2
Version 1.1.1 of LTI™ adds support for the role_scope_mentor launch parameter which allows the relationship between users to be passed over to tool providers; for example, which users are the children for which the current user is the parent.
