Case Studies for Success: How Open Tech Standards Get “IT” Done

This Learning Impact Webinar, hosted by 1EdTech, will present case studies from three districts that have demonstrated how interoperability is helping schools get “IT” done. Whether your “I” is for Information or Instruction (or both), your school needs to keep pace with today’s advancing ed tech requirements. This panel, comprised of leaders from three districts and moderated by ClassLink, will explore how districts are:

  • Integrating open tech standards to improve data, security, and access

  • Leveraging OneRoster to improve the speed and accuracy of class rosters within web resources

  • Managing the accelerated pace of technology adoption without sacrificing quality, control, and security.

We will detail both the challenges and opportunities in using open tech standards so that you have insights you can use that same day. Attendees will leave this session with a deeper understanding of how open tech standards build capacity, improve access to digital education resources, and get “IT” done.

Presenters include:

  • Beatriz Arnillas, Director, Education Technology, Houston Independent School District

  • Joseph Catania, Instructional Technology Specialist, Newburgh Enlarged School District

  • Keith Osburn, Technology and Special Programs Director, Jeff Davis County Schools

There is no fee to attend, but we do require advance registration. You will receive login information as part of your registration confirmation.
