Interactive and Connected Educational e-Book (ICE) Workshop

Workshop description:

Per the Call for Participation, there is great benefit in terms of adoption of digital materials in education if the educational community can come together to encourage wide spread adoption of interoperable content.

In the absence of some level of interoperability that makes adoption decisions easier for institutions, students and faculty market growth will be slowed.

This workshop is a direct follow-on from the 7 August 2013 workshop in which several areas of IMS leadership were identified that the participants felt could be converged upon. Between workshops IMS collected input from the participants and will be facilitating review of the synthesized information. We will also incorporate the ideas expressed at the EDUPUB workshop in Boston the week prior.

Workshop objectives:

  1. Review synthesized input in key technical areas identified at the 7 August 2013 workshop.
  2. Develop plan for refinement of inputs and publishing to stakeholders.
  3. Develop plan for demonstrations for IMS February quarterly meeting.
