SUMMARY:
1EdTech Consortium (1EdTech) formed the Executive Board on Assessment (EBA) in 2015 to set the industry direction and accelerate the transition to e-Assessment by use of standards like QTI (Question & Test Interoperability) and APIP (Accessible Portable Item Profile). Membership is not only about technical ownership, but also the alignment of business and procurement strategies between vendors and end-user organizations. The EBA started with 17 charter member organizations and quickly grew to 25 in the course of 2016. It includes both vendors and end-users, many of which are US K12 organizations. Its mission is to set Assessment industry direction for years to come by pursuing three main goals: 1. Improve Standards compliance 2. Improve Content interoperability and portability 3. Enable QTI enhancements and improve usability During this session, 1EdTech and EBA officials will explain their work, solicit feedback, and discuss plans for the future.
