Open Badges – An emerging movement to recognize non-formal and informal learning

Open Badges are growing rapidly. There are deep the implications of this new technology and movement in policy, employment, informal learning and higher education. The three free sessions of this MOOC will guide you through the different aspects of employment, policy, and education.

 Session 1: Employers’ engagement with Open Badges – 16 January–10 March 2017
 Session 2: Policy of Open Badges – 13 March–12 May 2017
 Session 3: Open Badges in Higher Education – 15 May–09 July 2017

This part of the OBN MOOC is dedicated to Open Badges in Higher Education and will be run by Prof. Dr. Ilona Buchem, Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin, who is also the Coordinator of the Open Badge Network project founded under the ERASMUS+ grant of the European Union.

Although this session is specifically dedicated to higher education, anyone interested in the topics (see an overview of the modules, topics, and webinars below) can participate – the OBN MOOC is open to everyone!
