Job Description
1EdTech, the world leader in EdTech interoperability and impact, is is looking for an experienced, independent Front-End Developer to work on an education technology standards comparison and integration application.
This position is 100% remote, working as part of a small, multi-functional team. You must be confident at working alone, defining your own objectives and deliverables, be a self-starter, willing to ask questions and join the dots yourself to deliver mission critical solutions aligned to the organization’s roadmap, business goals, and timeframe.
Responsibilities

Own the user facing components of the 1EdTech ecosystem

Collaborate in a small team to define and develop product requirements

Work hand-in-hand with our back-end architects to refine the APIs required by the UI

Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, scalable, and accessible web applications based on business needs

Writing reusable, testable, scalable, maintainable, and efficient code
Skills And Qualifications

Strong knowledge of front-end frameworks like React, Angular, Backbone, etc.

Familiarity with object-oriented design and RESTful web services

Proficiency in at least one back-end programming language, e.g. Java, Node.js, etc.

Solid understanding and experience with Docker, Google Cloud Platform, and Kubernetes, including experience deploying, monitoring and updating applications

Proficient using GitHub for source code control, with experience of GitFlow.

Working experience of web based security specifications and compliance, especially Oauth2.

Understand and have experience of using Fluture.

Experience with user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

Understanding of the fundamental design principles behind scalable applications

Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
-
Experience in back-end development, other languages, and frameworks (java, spring etc) is an advantage.
