We noted that the CC 1.4 LOM bindings, though they support the lom/classification element, do not support nested <taxon>s (as does IMS' standard LOM binding), so can't express a hierarchical taxonomy.
Was this an intentional decision to hobble that element? I note that the 1.4 implementation guide doesn't mention the classification element at all -- excepting for a passing reference to classification/keyword.
