New to QTI. Are there development tools: libraries, and/or best practices for processing QTI?

Development tools and best practices

I'm exploring a tool that ingests assessments encoded in QTI. Are there development tools that helve me avoid development from the ground up? Perhaps libraries to load QTI, schemas to store QTI in a database, and/or libraries to render QTI for presentation?

Are there best practices for rendering QTI to screen and/or paper?

Development tools and best practices

Hello tcorio,

there exists different tools for rendering QTI to screen and/or paper.
For example, we provide the ONYX Testsuite which contains also a QTI delivery engine and reporting tool. You can integrate these components via WSDL interface.
In addition the ONYX Testsuite contains the ONYX Editor for authoring. All created and/or managed assessment data can be delivered online or exported for example to PDF. All ONYX components based on QTI 2.1 (item, test and result data).

Feel free to contact me (onyx@bps-system.de) for more information how you can use the ONYX components.

Best regards,
Yvonne
